Hello fellow art lovers!
Hello, my name is Kimberly.
I am a self-taught artist, with some instruction along the initial way. Creating artwork is my passion!
I love experimenting with colors, mediums, and all sorts of substrates. I use acrylics, alcohol inks, and resin as my mediums.
I use the mediums on their own, or together with various other additives to create mixed media pieces.
The substrates I use are basic canvas, gallery-wrapped canvas, YUPO and Nara paper, glass/ceramic, wood rounds, MDF, cradled birch boards, small live edge pieces and trays.
I generally like to do my alcohol ink paintings on YUPO / Nara synthetic paper or vinyl. Sometimes I mount the completed piece onto a cradled birch board panel. I then add a glassy resin topcoat to finish the piece. I like to create mixed media pieces also, which might include embellishments with textures such as crackle paste, molding paste, gels, vinyl, foil, gold/copper leaf, papers, stones and glass.
I do not add frames, and I have not added hanging hardware to all pieces, but in most cases, I add either a sawtooth hook or D-hooks with or without wire. I always ask my customer what their preference will be, upon purchase of one of my pieces.
Prints are also available, and many are listed in my shop.
Thank you for your interest and for taking the time to visit my website,
With much appreciation,
Kimberly
