This painting begins with an acrylic pour as the background.  I removed and retained some areas of the pour and painted with acrylics a very fiery bright scene.  The old tree is very textured in brown, golds, and copper.  The branches gently wrap around cradling the blood moon.  I added a new acrylic pour to the right side, creating the rock edge for the painted hawk to perch and observe.  The land is ablaze with the bright light of the blood moon.  
This piece is sealed with glossy coats of Kamar and UV-resistant varnishes.
