This began with an acrylic pour to create the background color base.  I used various fluid paint techniques and paint dripping.  I painted the colorful feathers and defined the enhancements.  
The sides are painted black, and the piece has a feel of wood, but it's done on canvas.  The colors are rich and beautiful earth tones, and the gold is bright and full of metallic shimmer.
I'm proud to say that this painting placed 2nd in its' category in a local competitive arts exhibits show.
 
The painting is finished with Kamar and UV-resistant varnishes and is a rich gloss finish.
