This painting appears quite dark, but in warm lighting, the colors of greens, copper, gold, brown tones is very subtle and unique.  The branches are winding and textured with the textured nest gently nestled in.  This was made using fluid acrylic paints, and done in a few layers to get the textured nest and branches.  
This painting is sealed with Kamar and UV-resistant varnishes.  
It has a glossy sheen finish.
